Yocomo Spin-off launched

Mobile communication and m-learning refer to a wide range of concepts, applications, and practices. What is new in “mobile learning” comes from the interplay between cultural, medial and social developments and not just from the possibilities opened up by portable devices. It is also a question of cultural and educational developments, forms of learning, as well as social, cognitive and physical mobility. Cross-over concepts like microlearning and micromedia help us to understand and to design learning environments. One of our most successful applications is being distributed and further developed by the Yocomo GmbH, a spin-off of the University of Innsbruck and the Austrian Research Centers GmbH. For details of the mobile training solution see www.yocomo.at, for conceptual and educational discussions see Didactics of Microlearning.
